Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using this website. By visiting any page, running a search, or reading content here, you agree to everything listed below. If you do not accept these conditions, leave the site and do not use it further.

NO FCRA USE. This website is privately owned and run. It has no affiliation with any local, state, or federal government body. Neither this site nor any of our advertising partners offer services meant for credit checks, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant evaluation, or any other use covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). We exist to help visitors find criminal-record resources in Fairfield and Connecticut. We are not a private investigation firm, and we are not a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site. We operate on our own with no ties to any government office. We do not store official criminal records and we cannot pull records, run official background checks, or file documents for anyone.

What we do is point you toward the offices that hold Fairfield criminal records; the Fairfield Police Records, the courts that hear criminal cases, the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Division of State Police, State Police Bureau of Identification repository, and the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry; and connect you with third-party tools that may help with your research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Using information from this site, or from any tool linked here, to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against any person is prohibited and may be a crime. This applies with special force to sex offender registry information: Connecticut law restricts how Connecticut Sex Offender Registry data may be used, and misusing registry information against a listed person can carry criminal penalties. Registry data exists for public safety awareness, not for vigilante action, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

If you need a background check for any of those purposes, order an official check through the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Division of State Police, State Police Bureau of Identification or an FCRA-compliant screening company.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice. We explain how criminal records generally work in Fairfield, but we cannot tell you how a charge, conviction, warrant, or erasure rule applies to your situation. For that, talk to a licensed Connecticut attorney.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records change as charges are filed, dismissed, erased, or corrected. Gaps are unavoidable, and nothing here is an official statement from Fairfield Police, a Connecticut court, or another government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

We link to Fairfield Police sites, court portals, state agency pages, legal aid organizations, and outside search services across this site. Clicking one of those links moves you off our platform and onto one we have no control over. We are not responsible for their content, how they handle data, what they charge, or whether their site stays online. Check their terms before using them.

8. Intellectual Property

All text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to Fairfield Criminal History or our content partners. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or build on our content without getting written permission first.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using this site; including decisions made based on information found here or through any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

These terms fall under the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any legal dispute connected to your use of this site must be filed in courts located within Connecticut.

12. Changes to These Terms

We can update these terms whenever we see fit. New terms go into effect the moment they appear on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We can limit or block your access to this site at any time, for any reason, with no warning.

14. Severability

If a court rules that any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stand. The problem section gets adjusted only as much as needed to make it work.
